Philadelphia has it's share of under-the-table dealings, as does any other large city. This is nothing new. If they bugged the offices of Phila. city council members, a good portion of them would be sitting right next to the governor of Illinois, in jail. Until the right palms are greased, this is going to be stalled, to the detriment of Philly residents.
You ought to hear some of Comcrap's latest anti-FiOS "FUD" ads on radio, "dissing" FiOS's HD content, citing those weird VOD titles like "How to Boil Water", which aren't in HD anyway.
To boot, I got, count 'em, four (4) Comcrap ads in yesterday's mail, each one offering a different package with "Free" HD - what a bunch of BS!
This thing is as bad as a political campaign around here...

If comcast is as good as they say they should have nothing to worry about. The co-ops and clecs can come in and compete with telecom why shouldn't anybody be able to compete with cable. Maybe they should deregulate cable too...  |

No one in office really represents the people anymore I don't think. Comcast had HUGE help with the loophole in the 1996 telecom act by Arlen Specter, so that the RSN isn't shared with satellite providers. Now this. I think these people forget who gave them the jobs they have.
Can't any of them just do the right thing for the right reasons?
