Sure it says "HD", but the netflix streamed HD videos aren't that great of quality. I didn't really see a difference between SD and "HD" streaming. -- This Space for Rent... |

| I havent seen the HD through this particular box...but i beg to differ on what i've seen on the xbox360....the HD, while not bluray or hddvd, was quite good and certainly better than SD...from what I saw. The big drawback i had was the amount of HD content that was available. |

I was contemplating purchasing a Roku box, mostly due to the fact that I don't want to pay for a Gold account for xbox live to do the same type of Netflix viewing. Any opinions about the box, Good - Bad? -- The weekend is here, grab a can of beer! |

agreed, the HD is better than the SD on the 360 but they need more content! -- »twitter.com/powerspec | www.netisinc.com |

Can one view more than the Netflix "Watch Instantly" movies with this box? |

| Netflix movies in HD digital stream
I was one of the first ROKU users and HD beta test participants. ROKU box supports 720p and Netflix HD movies I have been watching have the same quality as the up-converted DVDs (1080p). I've watched countless movies since July and I've been an avid supporter and fan of both Netflix and ROKU. If you are a Netflix member or thinking about becoming one, you have to get a ROKU box. It just completes Netflix. |

From what I've seen in ROKU forums, they are getting ready to add Hulu HD, and other Internet video sources to the box. |

with your average "HD" download/stream being in the 6 GB range, once caps become commonplace how often are people going to use this? |

Love my Roku box as well. Makes me constantly question why I still pay for cable tv service, that I watch even less now. Just wish there was more content like others, but even with what is there being that there is no extra cost for it, cept the box itself, I love it. Wish this box could tap into like Hulu.com as well, then I would cancel my cable for sure. |

| Caps may become an issue
I've had a Roku for about a month now and am impressed. I've been using it about an hour daily and only racked up about 3GB since the beginning of the month. Not sure what HD will do but looking at the HD lineup on Netflix it currently is very poor IMHO. Personally I have two broadband connections so I can spread my usage between the two to probably avoid the caps. For now. |

Imagine how many HD movies one have to watch a month to reach Comcast 250gig cap. I don't do much downloading of any other media, so I doubt that I will ever go over the limit. |

@comcast.net | reply to BF69 I have Comcast w/250 GB limit. That's enough to download 60 HD movies a month, which I doubt, I'll ever do. With AT&T one will probably go over the limit and pay more for broadband use. It's just who your provider is. |

| reply to MADx But that's if you didn't download anything else for the rest of the month ... I bet a lot of people will have issues with new technological products coming out that will need the use of "streaming" and having it conflict with the download caps that ISPs are implementing now days. |

Well HD movies are 6 GB so that would be about 40 if you did nothing else. Netflix you can watch as much as you want right? Also that's Comcast. TW is talking about caps in the 5-40 GB range. At&t is testing caps that are between 20-150 GB per month. I'm pretty sure most people do not just use their computer for watching NetFlix only. |
