of time and money, when will the gov agency's and large corporation learn that the int@rw3bs is MUCH MUCH smarter and faster at you, they will have a crack/work around for any filters you plan on implementing long before you do so.
Set a reasonale price for music and movie downloads and you will get more profit, and just as many people will steal your stuff but atleast you'll make some money.

The U.S. government, which is a bought and paid for stooge of the MAFIAA, specializes in secret agreements and otherwise shoveling shit to the masses for public consumption. So the fact that the MAFIAA has also hoodwinked other countries into drinking the koolaid is not a shocker. It's just a matter of getting the right amount of payola to the right pet politicos before the entire Internet is just an even bigger clusterfucked version of cable TV where everything you see/hear is charged to your account. -- The Toll

We should think beyond the traditional left-right conception of "fascist." As a rightist, I see that for collectivism to be put into action en masse, some level of uniformity will have to be imposed. Could not this be called "fascism?" Certainly, the Fascist Party was no guardian of individualism and entrepreneurship.
Clear-minded people on both the left and right all should unite in outrage against secret meetings between government and the bosses of the entertainment industry about such public topics as "anti-counterfeiting." Bit I suppose the disagreement will begin when I say the politicization of regulations and the corporate welfare system put in place by government-lovers is precisely how the corporate upper echelon is able to game the system. -- "It is a melancholy reflection that liberty should be equally exposed to danger whether the government have too much or too little power."James Madison It's right, it's free. |

This is almost the same as holding a "Closed Door" meeting since in both cases the fact that the meeting was held is all that is known in either case. |

You're on the right track. But you forgot to mention the majority of clear-minded people: those on neither the right or left side of partisan disputes that obscure real issues like this. |

Well, all too many in here see a supposed "market failure" and think more regulations will fix it. At the same time, the bête noire is political rent-seeking; in other words, K Street lobbyists and AstroTurfing.
People who advocate for limited government and enumerated powers are tagged somehow as fascist while most of the rest of the political spectrum is engaged in enacting huge public works programs which will require a "fascist"-like control over people in order to have a chance at success.
I admit to being provocative, but it's only hopefully to get people to try to see things differently sometimes. -- "It is a melancholy reflection that liberty should be equally exposed to danger whether the government have too much or too little power."James Madison It's right, it's free. |
