Yankee Parade - DOT falls into a bottleneck

Talk about chaos for Staten Island residents: http://www.silive.com/northshore/index.ssf/2009/11/it_was_chaos_says_commuter_who.html
said by slive.com :STATEN ISLAND, NY -- When thousands of people packed into the Whitehall Ferry Terminal once the Yankees parade was over, waiting passengers began shoving from the back, crushing people together and separating children from their families, according to witnesses who called the Advance.

Three people were injured and at least on person has been charged with assault, according to authorities.

One person lost his shoes in the fracas and got on the boat wearing just socks.
This definitely brings back the topic of rail linking Staten Island to the rest of the boroughs very vigorously.

[ot]Robocalls for Tuesday's Election

Who else is getting robocalls regarding Tuesday's election in NYC? I've received more than 5 calls today telling me who I should vote for on Tuesday. In fact every call I've picked up today from my home phone line has been a robocall. Is there any way to get me off whatever phone list I am on so I can stop receiving these robocalls? These calls are testing the limits of my patience!

[OT] Apartments the size of cubicles in Manhattan.

http://www.villagevoice.com/2009-11-03/news/the-strangest-landlord-tenant-relationship-in-town&page=1

I read this article recently and found it kinda crazy yet fascinating. Apparently some people pay $100 a month to live in apartments the size of cubicles in chinatown. The conditions are horrible and it's like 100 people sharing 1 bathroom or something.

H1N1 Vaccine in NYC

I called 311 and all the information they gave me was incorrect. Does anybody know where I can get a H1N1 vaccine in Manhattan or Queens?

Walgreens is going to offer the vaccine but I checked multiple locations and they don't not have the vaccine yet.

I will be traveling out of state for a few days and hope to be able to get a shot while I am away since I don't know when I can get one in NYC.
