You must change one letter only, and rearrange to form a new word.

Edit: Increased challenge to eight letters.

I saw one place that wanted a $75 check.

I am not used to paying more than $40. I politely told them no thanks and left.

Am I the crazy one or are they crazy for a $75 credit check?

Criminal Sentencing in NYS - Suffolk County

There is a great website to track and research criminal cases in NYS but it does not list or explain possible sentences for criminal offenses.

http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/webcivil/ecourtsMain

Does anyone know where I can find such information if I know the charge and crime of conviction number?

[Travel] Parking Help

My gf and I are planning a trip to NYC Dec30 - Sunday Jan 3. We have been debating whether we should take the train or drive. The train would be easy because I wouldn't have to worry about this issue but there are inconveniences that come with taking the train...like the fact that there is only 1 train a day.

We finally decided to drive when I found that the friend we are planning to stay with was planning to take the train on Dec 30th, so he is canceling and riding with us.

We will be arriving late on the 30th and are going to need to park somewhere. My friend lives in the Upper East Side, I believe. Around 2nd Ave & E 80th St. I have been looking at sites such as primospot.com and bestparking.com but I have no clue if they are accurate.

I would like to get some thoughts from people who might have some knowledge of the area and thus I arrived here.
My questions include: Am I making a big mistake by driving?
What affect will New Years have on driving & parking availability and prices ? If I call a nearby garage are they going to be any help? I would like to have an idea of the rate I am going to be charged.

Any advice that I receive will be much appreciated. I don't like surprises and I don't want to arrive and find that there is no parking for under $500. :p

Thanks all

Disclaimer: No, I have never driven in NYC before, fear not I am a competent driver.
