[ActionTec] Getting an ActionTec GT701D OUT of bridge mode

I was able to get my ActionTec GT701D into bridge mode by selecting 'RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging'.

But. Um. Is this one of those things in life you can never reverse? A hard reset (pressing reset until the lights flash and the thing reboots) does not bring it out of bridge mode.

How can I get it out of bridge mode?

[Other] Asus GX-D1081 8-Port Power-Saving Gigabit Switch?

I'm possibly in the market for a switch to add to my network since I need more ports to connect my wired devices.

What do ya'll think of the Asus GX-D1081 8-Port Power-Saving Gigabit Switch?

I have a Asus RT-N66U for a router (Replacing a Linksys WRT54GL after it couldn't keep up) I have absolutely no complaints about it, so I think I'll be sticking with Asus for my networking hardware for the foreseeable future.

This'll be my first switch ever so how does a switch hook to a router and other equipment. What would hook where?

[Asus RT-AC66U] - Dyndns not updated frequently

Using the latest firmware 3.0.0.4.354 on the Asus RT-AC66U. The router's uptime is 34 days.

Today I received an email from www.dyndns.org stating my name was going to expire soon due to a lack of updates. Checking the dyndns web portal, the name was last updated April 4th.

When in the WAN -> DDNS section and clicking on Apply (to see if it will force an update), the following message is displayed: IP address & hostname have not changed since the last update..

Yes, I know I can manually refresh the info on dyndns.org, but that defeats the purpose of having the router configured with it!

Just replaced DLink DIR-825 with WD My Net AC1300

Firstly setup/migration was easy enough for an experienced tech, meh.

My first performance test where great a clear improvement in performance. My new cell phone a Galaxy S4 really does have AC connectivity. Speakeasy and SpeedTest.net seem to run smoother and a bit more consistent perhaps even a twinge faster.

The issue that became apparent was the firewall it does have SPI yet it doesn't seem to have NAT-EndPoint Filtering port-address restriction. So if FAILS the GRC.COM "Shield Up" (All Service Ports)

Can someone please confirm the Asus does not have the same issue. If the Asus resolves this I may exchange the WD at Best But for the Asus
