need help getting line released

My ISP, Quadranet, went out of business. I tried to sign up for SBC DSL but can't because DSL is already on my line. Will ASI eventually discover that no one is paying them for the DSL service on my line? Will they eventually release the line? Can anything be done to expedite the process? Thanks.

You made me go looking for your ISP because you didn't put your location down.

Did you request a change of ISP when you ordered?

Did not see that option on the online order screen. When I called customer service she said I would not get the online price if I ordered by phone. Is ordering by phone and requesting a change of ISP my only option?

Who was the CLEC for your ISP?

ASI, if I understand your question correctly. They resold ASI DSL. Their ISP was PacBell Internet. I'm told that their connection to PacBell (and ASI?) has been turned off.
