My CO 573-564 area code 63361 is scheduled for DSL deployment in Q2 this year. I can't get this info or any more up-to-date info from anyone in SBC/ASI. Adsl guy has been great help along with others in the past but no one in ASI is willing to help anymore maybe due to striking issues or just too busy. Is there any update out there for deployment for my CO or has it just been falsely listed at to be deployed? Local SBC phone technican knows nothing of it. Local CWA union reps(I'm a member through different telco) for SBC said it's on it's way there last June at a meeting! I work for a bordering telco and ISP and I can't get anything on this.
quite honestly, before the information is made public through normal channels (i.e. it's really been turned up) - that planning/implementation information is not to be divulged to anyone in the public.
That's why it caused such a stir when that information was posted in these boards last time. -- Mine Take a Ride on the SHORT BUS

reply to rupst2 Fully understand, wish I had my old connection with ASI still or someone in planning! You'd think even as an ISP you could get this info to plan ahead with cost studies and surveys to determine whether you will resell DSL to go along with your other services in the area(wireless + dialup) but even calling as an ISP no one will say anything unless you are a major nationwide reseller for ASI. I realize it isn't cost effective for my employer to resell DSL in such a small town but man being a tech and not even being up to the year 2k standard for broadband is lame. Will continue to wait, thank you.
