A kudo to MS for at least seeing the issues

While it would be great if there was a way to remove access to the net to all illegal versions of the OS, the reality of the matter is that there is no realistic ways of doing that.

Having said that, the concern must be the well being of the entire community.

What is the point in starting to protect legal systems only if those other ones will always be available as tools to try (and succeed) to compromise legitimate systems?

I fully agree with Microsoft on this one. They cannot ignore the illegal base as it does affect the legal one.

Al.

Absolutely no way in hell. You don't have a clue what you're talking about. The vast majority of Windows users are perfectly legal. Now if you want to talk about people on this site, that's a whole different story.

Much better. Just realize that your group of people is not representative of the population.

It's just like how by reading this site, you'd get the impression that most people use a browser other than IE. In fact, alternative browsers to IE make up maybe 5% of the total market.
