45 Mbs ADSL I moved to Okinawa about a year ago. I have a 12 Mbs ADSL line costing me $50 a month. A co-worker has a 100 Mbs B-flets fiber optic line for $85/month. His phone service is voip. Another co-worker just had his 45 Mbs ADSL line activated at his place and he is paying $41/month and his phone service is voip. His phone rates back to the states are less than 2 cents per minute. Granted the telecom infrastructure is alot smaller here and easier to upgrade but the technology exists. 20 Mbs isn't a dream. Here's a couple links to verify these figures:
