I've talked to more 'techs' that have no clue what they are doing, other than what the screen tells them to do, and all of the smart techs are the ones actually given permission to send out contractors to fix something(Tier 3 usually), which obviously you are not.
I know that I will never use SBC if that is the kind of customer service I can count on if there is a problem. Tech support like yourself is why I don't like using broadband in general, in the cases where I must call tech support, I cringe when I get people who know less than the average high school student, reading from their screen trying to sound like they know what they are doing.
