Anyone tried SonyEricsson Z1010 on a US 3G network

I like what I've read about the Sony Ericsson Z1010 mobile phone. My first SE was the T68i. I liked it so much I upgraded to the T610, which I also like. Now want to get the Z1010.

Specifically, it the Z1010 claims to be "3G ready." I'm not entirely sure what that means. It offers UMTS, GSM 1800, GSM 900. UTMS isn't the same as GSM 1900, right? Would the fact that it doesn't have GSM 1900 hinder someone using it in the US? And is UTMS the same thing as 3G?

Sorry if these are stupid questions. Thanks in advance.
