tukhus join:2004-05-30 Brooklyn, NY | Who are britsys using for DSL in NYC Although we live only a mile from the CO which is fully provisioned for DSL (I checked using the tools on this web site), the phone company say that we're out of range. Is this technical, or is this about territory?
We had AT&T for over a year and they're abysmal; sometimes off, sometimes on and so slow when on that I'm getting better speeds with the 56k dialup that work gave me.
So AT&T are history soon. They have lousy reviews on this site, and Britsys had great reviews. The only question is, who are Britsys using for DSL service? The phone company? Am I still going to get the same slow off-again-on-again DSL service because it's the same old broken-down infrastructure? And know-nothing tech support with hour-long wait times?
OR will things get better?

 | reply to tukhus If you're looking for a customer reply, I'm using BritSys in Manhattan (via WorldCom). Works great, no significant setup issues--worst was that it took the teleco 2 weeks to provision the line.
