L3 DSLU: Link LOS Failure L3 DSLU: Resetting modem hardware L4 ATM: PHY layer has gone down
Then it will come right back up on line. I also have a Cayman 3220 and a Westell 220030 which does not do this. I have tried PPPoA and PPPoE. My stats show about 22 NR and about 35 atten. The 3546 has the latest firmware. Any ideas what could be causing this situation. |

As I have posted several times before, mine does the same thing. I have no idea what causes it or how to deal with it.

I have a 3220 I would use if the lightning hadn't fried the router section.

FatJackPremium join:2001-06-26 Barnwell, SC | reply to FatJack I'm putting this Cayman to rest for a while until they upgrade the firmware. It has gone down 4 times in the last hour. There is for sure a bug in this modem's firmware. I'm changing back to a Westell 2200. It runs rock solid. |

6.30R5a was the firmware version when the crash occurred. 6.4.0R2 is the current version That crash info will remain in the ALL STATUS LOG until the next crash. You can erase it by telnet with the command "reset crash" Wish I could offer some help with the other issue... The LOS= Loss Of Signal/sync -- God bless our troops |

| reply to FatJack Here is something I can add. I was (am) having the same problem with losing sync. I'm running in bridge mode.
When I leave the serial port cable connected, the Cayman 3546 will stay up for days. When I disconnect the cable from the Cayman side, the disconnects start. I have had Cayman send me another one, but that didn't work any better than the original. -- Make what your doing important, because you're trading a day of your life for it. |
