Here' s what I do...

make a text file with this line in it - net stop "wireless zero configuration" - save it as netstop.bat in your sytem root directory, copy it as a shortcut to Start | Programs | Startup and have another text document - net start "wireless zero configuration" - save it as netstart.bat in your sytem root directory, copy it as a shortcut to Start | Programs and it will stop on login but you have an easy way to start it again if you want.

The problem I had was that my connection would try to renew itself every 60 secs. and I would lose my connection for a second. (among others)

I upgraded to SP2 RC1 and problemo gone on my satellite pro Microsoft completely changed the way wireless works! Makes you winder

Its not XP, its all the cheap wireless boxes being sold today.

Linksys=junk
Netgear=more junk

Get a real wireless access point like ZyXEL and it will just plain work with any OS.
