funny thing is that I have the same problem at home with my P4 802.11g broadcom builtin laptop on linsys WRT54G ver2 AP.. But i take the same laptop to work everyday and connect to a dlink AP and i never drop connection in the office.
Is must be compatibility isue between XP and linksys of some sort
