Same problem with D-Link

I seen this same issue with the d-link 614+. I tried all the things suggested, and resoled it when I turned off turbo mode.

I run Win2k Pro and have a D-link DI614+ router and DW-520+ wireless card. Every so often, the wireless card will start cycling in a loop of dropping the connection, reconnecting and dropping again, reconnecting, etc.

It does it very quickly and I can keep browsing without delay, but the Windows balloon messages keep popping up "Network cable unplugged" followed by the "Network Connected..." message.

On top of that, the router web interface shows a different MAC address for my wireless card than the MAC address that shows in WiFi manager. Also in my WiFi manager config list, I keep getting an ghost entry with an SSID of "NETGEAR" and a MAC address that doesn't belong to any device on my network, and I don't have any Netgear devices on my machine! No matter how I try to kill it, it always comes back. I first thought a neighbors machine may have been finding my WiFi and connecting to my network, but after monitoring it I have never seen any activity.

Not sure if it's a Windoze bug or D-Link. My bet would lean more towards D-link, since my router is one that has gotten alot of complaints on here. The last firmware seems to have helped. I'm sure Windoze is not a completely innocent party either.
