dgilbert : if you cannot access the cayman at 192.168.1.254, first you need to see what your default gateway is. to do this, goto a command prompt and type in "ipconfig /all" without the quotes, and hit enter. if your address comes up as 169.x.x.x, then you are not getting an ip from the router. if it comes up as any other ip, it should list a gateway, this will be the ip address of the 3220 that you would need to enter in your browser or telnet program. although it won't do much good without the password!

if you are not getting an ip from the 3220, you need to set your NIC to a static ip of 192.168.1.x, subnet 255.255.255.0 and see if you can access it. if not, you MUST use the serial port to access the 3220. this is actually your best bet, it will save on headaches.

also, by not being able to select your network card, do you mean it does not give you a choice for TCP/IP?
--
If you can read this, thank a teacher..........and since it's in English, thank a soldier.
