Strictly 4 MY N.I.G.G.A.Z The Other side of 2pac
Tupacs other side. Yes I would have to say this was the beginning stages of 2pacs ThugLife mentality. Basically he felt the society was against a young black male trying to succeed. He was apparently beaten up by 2 cops for J walking ,before this album was released. Anyway this album again shows how lyrical Pac can be, and at the same time showing his views about cops, Media, and society. Cops would not like this album, but then again who likes cops. I give this Album and 8-10. Holla If Ya Hear Me 8-10 Good song, trys to get a message across. Directed mainly to cops and black males. Pac's Theme (Interlude)9-10 Directed to the media for how they protrayed him. He loops the lyrics in this song, with a guy from congress expressing his fell towards this type of music and 2pac countering.) Point The Finga 7-10 just as the title says people who point the finger. The ones who open the mouth without actual facts Something 2 Die 4 (Interlude) 8-10 Interlude with Pac usng some kind of synthesizer, real good lyrics in this one Last Wordz 8-10 good lyrics in this one, old schoolish beat. Souljah's Revenge 8-10 More Cop bashing in this one, pac took his agression out on the cops lyrically in this one. Peep Game 7-10 decent song Strugglin' Guess Who's Back Representin '93 Keep Ya Head Up 10-10 This was the very first song I heard by 2pac, one of the best lyrics by 2pac in this song Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. 9-10 Directed towards black males, good lyrics. More Cop bashing what else is new :) The Streetz R Deathrow I Get Around 9-10 The Playa in 2pac, talks about how he gets around with the Ladies Papa'z Song 8-10 Directed towards worthless dead beat fathers. Honest lyrics 5 Deadly Venomz | posted Tuesday October 12th, @01:53AM

2pacalypse Now 2Pacs first solo album
2pac owes his whole solo career to Digital Underground. They basically put him in the door. 2pac used to be a back up dancer for them. Shock G admired Tupacs rapping ability so decided to give him a shot on a single called "Same Song". From there it was on . Tupac had made hisself known. One thing Im must say about the young Pac, was that his content was very Lyrical and less commercial. In this album he basically talks about the young black male in todays society. This album is more for people who are true lyricist. I give this album and 8 out of 10. Each song has some type of message. It speaks facts and opinions of Pac views on society.
All the songs on this album
Young Black Male - pretty good song 7-10 its a intro Trapped - good song good lyrics 9-10 Soulja's Story - honest lyrics really good 8-10 I Don't Give A Fuck - u have to listen to the lyrics 8-10 Violent- tells a story with a incident with police 8-10 Words Of Wisdom - Honest lyrics once again 8-10 Something Wicked - pretty good 7-10 Crooked Ass Nigga -decent song 6-10 If My Homie Calls - gives respect to his real friends 8-10 Brenda's Got A Baby - tells a story very good lyrics 9-10 Tha Lunatic - once again good lyrics 8-10 Rebel Of The Underground - gives respect to the underground 8-10 Part Time Mutha - Honest lyrics of single mothers 8-10
This is a pretty good album, once again for its lyrical content. You have to listen to the lyrics | posted Saturday August 21st, @10:49PM

Tupacs Albums
Here is a collection of alot of Material that 2pac made. I will talk about each and every album. As Ive listened to all. 2pac was the kind of person that loved to be in the studio. ALways recording music etc. He averaged 3 songs a day. He was a thinker. He rapped about his experiences in life. Each album basically tells a story from him. Regardless of the content as long as he got his point across he was satisfied. 2PACALYSPE | Stricltly For My NIGGAZ | ThugLife | Me Against The World | All Eyez On Me | Makeveli :7 day Thoery | R U still Down? | Until The End Of time | Greatest Hits | Still I rise | Better Dayz | Lost Tapes |

Only God Can Judge Me Now
Perhaps I was blind to the facts, stabbed in the back I couldn't trust my own homies just a bunch a dirty rats Will I, succeed, paranoid from the weed And hocus pocus try to focus but I can't see And in my mind I'ma blind man doin time Look to my future cause my past, is all behind me Is it a crime, to fight, for what is mine? Everybody's dyin tell me what's the use of tryin I've been Trapped since birth, cautious, cause I'm cursed And fantasies of my family, in a hearse And they say it's the white man I should fear But, it's my own kind doin all the killin here I can't lie, ain't no love for the other side Jealousy inside, make em wish I died Oh my Lord, tell me what I'm livin for Everybody's droppin got me knockin on heaven's door And all my memories, of seein brothers bleed And everybody grieves, but still nobody sees Recollect your thoughts don't get caught up in the mix Cause the media is full of dirty tricks Only God can judge me
Tupac had a great deal of stress on his mind, always having bad dreams etc. He knew he was going to Die but one Motto he always lived by is "Thuglife, and "Only God can judge me Now". No man can judge another man, as that man makes mistakes. God can judge him. He felt if he did wrong God was the one to punish him not man. | posted Monday August 9th, @02:21AM

I finally bought Tupac Resurrection
I must say this is an excellent documentary. Tupac was a very intelligent individual. If anyone gets a chance check out the "Christmas interview".. Its on the special features section on the Dvd . He talks about how our society is, and how people who are wealthy buy a mansion with 50 rooms when a guy maybe around the corner cant even afford an apartment. Our government worries about other countries and yet there are starving people on the street. Just goes to show how fucked up the world is
I rate this movie A+ all the way | posted Sunday August 8th, @10:43PM

Misconception of Rap Lyrics
The reason I think alot of people are biased towards rap music, is because the lack of understanding of the Lyrics. While rap has really taken a downfall in its quality "lyrically wise"; if people understood the lyrics and how rappers put all these metaphors together, rappers would be respected more. "To be good rapper, you have to have a good vocabulary. 2pac,Notorious Big had a very immense vocabulary.Less profanity = a good rapper;)" Eminem is another that comes to mind, Rakim, Nas as well have that something about them that stands out. Not all rappers are drug dealers and killers. They are some of the most intellectual people you will ever meet.
I found a thread just a few days ago where this guy thinks Kanye West is a racist because of a certain lyric. Another example of misunderstanding lyrics.»Kayne West is a racist. | posted Saturday July 24th, @01:36PM

Alive theories Put to rest
Like every 2pac fan, well atleast a real one. Everyone including my self expected 2pac to come back on the seventh of September 2003. Unfortuntely it didnt happen. Maybe 2 pac just loved the number 7. Lol becasue It seemed like the majority of songs he made, after All eyez on me was in reference to that number.
I even made a thread about it a while back. Alot of 2pac hattin in this thread, but I stayed true like a real fan »some interesting facts said by 2pacs mom They got me starring at the world through my Rearview |

Something interesting I read from a Tupac fan
"Not only was Tupac a thoughtful intellectual (certainly better-read than George Bush), a dedicated artist (classically-trained), an astute observer of society, and an exceptionally self-critical individual, but also, as a human being, virtually the exact opposite of the "gangsta" character the racist right (and those who love to stereotype) like to perceive him as. He was simply a product of his times, using the communication (and entertainment) form that was dominant in his era. The junk around his non-performing self was not atypical of that around anyone who'd reached a certain level of fame. Show business tends to eat its young (see Britney). Tupac was no different from Sinatra or any other mega-successful performer in that regard (though his "blackness" will always makes him somehow uniquely troublesome to the bigoted eye)." | posted Thursday July 8th, @12:35PM

Some Of Pacs Greatest Lyrics
While I think all of Pacs lyrics were great, some stood out more than others here are some
Me Against The World Second Verse
With all this extra stressin' The question I wonder is after death I feel my last breath When will I finally get to rest from this oppression? They punish the people that's askin questions And those that possess Steal from the ones without possessions The message I stress To make it stop study your lessons Don't settle for less Even the genius asks questions, be grateful for blessings Don't ever change Keep your essence The power's in the people and the politics we address Always do your best Don't let this pressure make ya panic and when ya get stranded And things don't go the way ya planned it Dreaming of riches In a position of makin' a difference Politicians are hypocrites They don't wanna listen If I'm insane It's the fame made a brother change It wasn't nothin' like the game It's just me against the world
Changes Third verse
and still I see no changes, can't a brother get a little peace? there's war on the streets and the war in the Middle East instead of war on poverty they got a war on drugs so the police can bother me and I aint never did a crime I aint have to do but now I'm back from the locks givin back to you don't let them jack you up back you up crack you up and pimp smack you up you gotta learn to hold your own they get jealous when see you with your mobile phone but tell the cops they can't touch this I don't trust this when they try to rush I bust this that's the sound of my tool you say it aint cool but momma didn't raise no fool and as long as I stay black I gotta stay strapped and I never get to lay back cuz I always gotta worry bout the payback some punk that I ruffed up way back comin back after all these years rat-tat-tat-tat-tat, that's the way it is chorus some things will never change
Hold Ya Head
God bless the child that can hold is own Indeed Enemies bleed when I hold my chrome Let these words be the last To my unborn seeds Hope to raise my young nation in this world of greed Currency means nothing if you still ain't free Money breeds jealousy, take the game from me I hope for better days Trouble comes naturally Running from authorities Till they capture me And my aim, is to spread more smiles than tears Utilize lessons learned from my childhood years Maybe mama had it all right Rest your head Straight conversation all night Bless the dead To the homies that I used to have That no longer roll Catch a brother at the crossroads Plus, nobody knows my soul Watching time pass Through the glass of my drop top Rolls Hold your head | posted Friday July 2nd, @09:36AM

Appreciate your parents, especially Your "Mom"
2pac had a great Deal of of respect for his mother, she raised him for the majority of his life. He didnt really have a father figure, but he always respected his mother. He made a song dedicated to his mother. Dear Mama one of 2pacs greatest songs. This song showed that deep down in side that thug image, there was something else A person who loves and appreciates things. His mother Afeni shakur did her best to raise her son. Considering her being a single mom in todays society is really tough:(. I just wanna say be greatful for having a mother as you only get one give her a kiss as you read this. Regardless if she pisses you off, she is still that angel in your heart Dear Mama you are appreciated "Ain't a woman alive that could take my mama's place
I finally understand for a woman it ain't easy, tryin to raise a man You always was committed A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it? There's no way I can pay you back But the plan is to show you that I understand You are appreciated
Pour out some liquor and I reminisce, cause through the drama I can always depend on my mama And when it seems that I'm hopeless You say the words that can get me back in focus
And all my childhood memories Are full of all the sweet things you did for me
Remember!!! appreciate that mom of yours as you Only get one | posted Sunday June 27th, @11:04PM

Some Rare Facts of Tupac Shakur

Herbie told them "Naw, I aint got time for this shit I gotta be on a plane in ten hours!" A Speaker From The Heart
One thing I really admired about 2pac was, how he spoke how he felt. He never changed his mood for anyone. People didn't always like what he had to say and it got him in to a lot of trouble, but he kept it real and always told things like they were. "That's how I feel, I'ma do whatever I like ... I was raised in this society so you can't expect me to be a perfect person cause I'ma do what I'ma do." The first time I heard 2pac was in 6th grade. the young anwgo from the day I heard him I knew I had aspiration. The first song I heard from him was "Keep Ya Head Up" Wow I was so touched by those lyrics at a young age. I immediately became a fan. He spoke the truth about minorities in America, In Lord Knows, in the second verse he says "and life is hard in tha ghetto, it's insanity I can't breath got me thinkin', what do hell got? cause I done suffered so much, i'm feelin' shell shocked and drive-by's are an everyday thang I already lost to many homies to this mothafucken' game and Lord Knows...."
How many people do you know who would say" I smoke a blunt to take tha pain out and if I wasn't high probably try ta blow my brains out"??
Its takes alot to say that on record. Thats one thing that seperated him from everyone "Always speaking from the heart" He knew the struggles of the ghetto and pain. You could here it in his voice. One of my favorite pitctures of 2pac |
