Re: Any Spyware Blockers???

I use the following to help stop spyware from loading onto my computer. Winpatrol and Switched my browser to Firefox (FF doesn't use active-x, which is one of the main reason you get spyware in IE).

1) I have SpyBot 1.3 it may be blocking some stuff, but, not enough.
So are you saying that malicious spyware/adaware software is being loaded on your computer even though you have installed SpyBot Search and Destroy 1.3 and have "Immunized" against the almost 1700 threats, or are you saying you are still getting pop-ups?

Remember, pop-ups in general are not the problem, it is only those pop-ups that are a result of software installed without your knowledge that are a nuisance.

A2 Squared . . . from »www.emsisoft.com/en/software/personal/ may, do the trick. Although it is touted as an anti-trojan utility, it also blocks "Spyware Trojans"! I have heard very good things about it's spyware blocking abilities. Also as someone else has mentioned, "Spysweeper" is an excellent anti-spyware utility.

I have personally found that SpyBot Search and Destroy's "Immunize" utility does a great job!
