Telstra Bigpond 3GB montly usage.

Today is the day that many users will say NO to restrictive broadband policies. As of tomorrow, any subscriber using Telstra BigPond Broadband will by default accept the new terms and conditions that were announced a few weeks back, which in particular includes the 3 gigabyte per month usage cap.

For those who have taken up Telstra's offer to abort their contract early, you must NOT use the service beyond today, else you risk "accepting" the new conditions. I suggest that you unplug and turn off your cable/ADSL modem before midnight tonight. Also, if you haven't received any acknowledgement of your cancellation request yet, I suggest that you send off another email (or two) today -- just in case.

To those who are leaving the pond, we wish you luck getting decent broadband elsewhere! For those who can't get Optus@Home (like myself), I offer my condolences. Please visit Whirlpool regularly for updates on other broadband offerings, should any ever materalise... - Whirlpool.
