| Modem Troubles My modem is on its last breath. It periodically stops responding. Its synced and all. So I go to restart it and it turns on but the alarm light keeps on blinking. I go to pull out the plug again in hope of restarting it and the alarm light just keeps on blinking. I litteraly have to keep on trying to restart it all day to get it to turn on. This already has happened to me two times.
I think I need a new modem. |

| And it is getting considerable worse. The modem just freezes. It is synced and the act LEDs blink like it is actualyl working, but it freezes every hour or so for about 5 mins. Im pretty sure this is the modem and not anything else.
Its the basic CIsco 678 modem that digizip provides.

I'd probably put the blame on the phone company. Try to ping your modem when you don't have any internet connection. |

I do. Its not related to any other issues. Its the modem. During the time in which my internet activity locks up If i try to restart the modem it will not come back on. The ALARM LED just keeps on blinking. I am computer litterate and have experience. |
