Is Mesa really worth it?

I have a bunch of friends with Comcast's cable and they never have reliability issues. Comcast kills Mesa on downloads, consistant 315k/s is what my neighbor usually gets as opposed to my 175k/s with the 1500/500 package.

Is it really worth the $58? I'm very close to pulling the plug and going for the faster, cheaper internet...

Thoughts?
