And who is to blame for this? Mostly the companies that overcharge and short change us now. Many companies still aren't competing in a true sense. My ISP Insight is a good example of this. While DSL providers in there service areas have lowered prices and raised speeds. Insight still charges $79.95 a month ( $69.95 in some cases ) for 3000/384 service. Lets not even get into how other countries and OOL provide a heck of a lot more speed for much less. This great nation of ours is supposed to be the most technically advanced. Yet we can't get as fast a speed as communist and socialist countries. Some of which are supposed to be less technically hip than us. -- Test Your SecurityBenefit for Children's Oncology Group Cable Modem Diagnostics
its called free enterprise. if they are only ones in the area, you have only one other choice, and that is to not have broadband. if they have competition, then you have a choice to leave them for another provider. if enough people exodus to a cheaper provider, they should get the hint, or go the way of the dodo.
