jarruda join:2002-08-25 Pompano Beach, FL | Troubleshooting for new Bridged connection Sirs/Ladies, Quick question, I've just moved from BS to SnappyDSL (some surreal story to do with my 2 blocks down the street move).
I ordered the service last friday, the guy told me it could take x days (not sure if 5), I called today just to check, and someone got me the information I needed, and said it could be up today.
I've arrived home, and found a letter from SnappyDSL, and one thing doesn't match from my voice conversation to the info in the letter..
VPI/VCI: The guy on the phone said 8/35 (like BS), and the letter said 7/990. Looking at the modem DSL stats, it would seem like I'm not in the right VC, since I send traffic but no traffic coming... (is static IP, I'm sending just ARPs so far, but no response, or any other packets coming back..) Any ideas ? I've already sent a email to the support, but I would like to have this up as soon as possible | | | Jarruda,
The VPI/VCI for the CPE (DSL MODEM) is 8/35 (7/990 is your circuit, somthing for us to worry about...not you -:)).
I have sent you the rest of the info. in email.
By the way, for stuff like this, please feel free to call in. We are here 7 x 24 ! (after hours, just leave a message for call back !) | | jarruda join:2002-08-25 Pompano Beach, FL | said by Faisal0: Jarruda,

I was calling around 21:00, saw the prompt saying they would return the call in 4 hours (not that bad), but I was not in such a hurry to have it up, so tried the forum , noticed you lurking from time to time.. Well, this morning, 8/35 it is, sending/receiving, I guess that by the time I tried it last night (I tried 8/35 before the 7/990), the VC was not set end-to-end Thanks for your prompt response !! Already tried sending email via your smtp server, it works just fine (smart-hosting was kind of weird in BellSouth in the last couple of months).. Hope to have the cable disconnected as I get back home..still have the default route going via Advanced Cable for now. | |
