Westell 6100 vs 2100 and Bellsouth

Borrowed a 2100 which works well, allows my AT&T Network Client to connect to company VPN ( and modem uses built in PPPoE dialer ). Bellsouth sent me a 6100 Proline, installed like 2100 but VPN software fails. VPN software works if I use "bridged ethernet" mode and XP Wan MINPORT dialer but that is NOT the configuration that I need. I suspect "hidden" configuration options (like Tunneling) that may be different between the two boxes. Bellsouth tech. support up thru 3 levels was not helpful.

Is there a way to get into the "hidden" configuration options so I can see what's there?
