Couldnt have said it better myself, QAM256 is much more sensitive to fluctuations, its somewhat of a give and get type thing. You gain more bandwidth, you lose (its not significant to ever bother most people) a slight bit of connectivity dependability.

I told you guys in Renton and Kent that i would let you know when they upgraded to QAM256 in Federal Way.At 1:05 am this morning my modem disconnected,had to reboot.After reboot i checked my signal levels and found we had been upgraded to QAM256.

My signal levels have changed some.DSPwr went from -4 to 0.
USPwr went from +45 to +46.SNR stayed at +34.So far no problem with lag or spike in game play.
