No, it didn't come with a recovery cd, but it had a recovery partitiion on the hard drive... it had c:/ the normal one I use, and I think G:/Recovery partition (it was what c:/ when first turned on) So i guess it is the same thing.. |

Second, I would go to the HP web site to see if there is any information about SP2 and your PC model.
I would reformat or use the recovery partition only as a last resort because there is no assurance that it will fix anything.
Hey, I have typed the whole story like 100 times.. and it has to be detailed to explain what is goin on.. so I will give a link to the thread that I started on MICROSOFTS NEWSGROUPS so you all can see what I have done, and what others have said.. I just don't see anything else to try really..
