Re: Great!!! It's about retention. Once you lose a customer it is REALLY hard to get them back. No one wants to hassle with changing their service and then changing it back. Or at least very few do.
That's why cable companies and RBOCs are fighting to hold on to their existing customers first with speed upgrades. It is cheaper to upgrade an area speedwise than it is to build a new area. And you can be sure of how much of a return on investment you will have by reducing churn in that wire center.
Although, I can attest to the fact that expansions are still being done. Until a few months ago the only broadband option available to me was Comcast.
