Re: [XP Pro] Right Click on a File = Explorer crash I had the same problem over a year ago with winxp, I could not right click on any BITMAP file - or explorer crashes/reloads.
The problem had to do with file association from serveral photo editing software. Removed all software, set bmp back to paint, reloaded software and was ok.
Not sure if that helps you any - since your problem seems a little worse, but just my experience with a related problem.
