just "perfect"

more American companies sticking their nose into other countries. followed closely by their lawyers

RIAA, MPAA, have no power over any country other then the united states.

if they want to have power over us why not invade ? oh yea i know why they won't invade, the entire U.N. will come over here and kick their a$$.

last time i checked Russia was still pretty sore over the cold war thing.

Re: just "perfect"

i just mentioned the U.N., there's allot of countries that have a beef with the states, and they would be more then happy to kick their ass.

You mean *TRY* to kick our ass.

Besides, its actually a pretty scary thought, but if you think we would go down without taking the rest of the world with us you're fooling yourself. We still got enough nukes to wipe out the planet ten times over at least.

Re: just "perfect"

and your worried about a country in the middle of nowhere that has one that's over 50 years old and most likely doesn't work.

and there's been a disarmament agreement between the U.S. and Russia for a while so it's more like 2times over and not 10

(grin) they have no power here in the USA either; they merely rep the wishes of an industry.

Power is in the hands of government - who, as I was dutifully taught in school, always represents the best interest of the common man. Ours is a, erm, *functional* democracy. It's those poor bastards in other countries who don't understand that they *need* us, our democracy, and -above all- the products of our ...achem... superior industry. They need u$ to save them from themselves, the poor heathens.

Power to the RIAA/MPAA! They create and protect Art, ya now. Before they existed there was no Art. Amen.

Re: just "perfect"

MPAA and RIAA have no clue, One or the other or both must think that Canada is just a part of the USA, The DMCA is a US Law, Not Canadian and so in Canada the DMCA has no Legal Effect there.

Most Americans would help too. What a waste of resources. We need a loser pays law system so that the RIAA would have to fork over large sums of cash when they lose these lawsuits.

Re: just "perfect"

it is a loser pays system lasttime i checked, just depends on how big the loser is, and if the person being sued places a counter suit.

Re: just "perfect"

You must be talking about some court system other than the one in the US.

Here both sides pay their own expenses. (Under some circumstances the loser may have to pay court costs, which is a very small part of the total costs.)

Lol Kick The USA's ass dream on. Just like IRAQ did? LMAO What about Afghanistan? The Russians tried that for years took us only a few months. The only ass kicking will be the RIAA's once the recording artists decide they are tired of paying them.

Re: just "perfect"

hate to tell ya, but that's the exact reason why people don't like the states, and north korea could take out the entire U.S. in about a week.
