 | Can you say conflict of interest... There was a great article about it in the SF Chronicle this week about the Comcast ad. The best part is that the ad company just got hired by Comcast and it's a huge account for them. So, the employee'd better make the "right" decision if he wants to keep his job and the agency the Comcast account...
Bottom line: globally, Directv and Dish are picking up new cable customers while the cable industry keeps on losing them (300,000 in the last quarter if I remember correctly).
Used to have: basic cable + HSI + cable phone. I went to SBC + SBC DSL + Directv with Tivo, saved $30 a month, and have a much better image quality. Comcast probably lost a customer for life. |
en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | Yup - here in California, Comcast is pricing themselves out of business. In Valencia, there are many homes have a dish (or 2) on their rooftops. I had TimeWarner, and their packages were cheaper (~$15/month total). SBC and DirecTv save me about $30/month compared to what I would pay comco$t. I don't know anyone that has it in So. Cal that has anything good to say about it. |
