Re: [Vonage] Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter with Vonage I purchased a PAP2 at Circuit City. It has a $50 rebate through Vonage. Before signing up I read the Terms and Conditions (not like most people!). It did mention the 39.95 deactivation fee if equipment was not returned. This prompted me to call Vonage. After calling Vonage, I found out that this deactivation fee only applys if you get the equipment directly from Vonage. This is because the equipment they provide, they do not charge you to use. So essentially, the $39.95 fee is an incentive to return the equipment. I was told if I purchase my own equipment, that there is NO termination fee. I also suggested they update there terms and conditions to make this matter more clear. About the rebate. In order to qualify, you must have service for 90 consecutive days with Vonage. After such time, they will process the rebate. The PAP2 worked fine from day 1 with no configuration needed. I plugged it into my Linksys switch, and after powering it up I was making calls in about 5 minutes time. Very slick! |

Re: [Vonage] Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter said by Automate:Someone needs to plug a virgin adapter into a network that is NOT connected to the Internet and see if they can get into the adapter. Maybe it is not locked until the files are downloaded This would explain why i was able to browse the PAP2 and then later could not. While talking to tech support about another issue I ask if this unit has a web interface and replied that this unit and one other don't but the other ones do.
Hope this helps! |

Same thing here.. before I "activated" my account I could browse the http interface. Kinda strange they disable it after you get the service! |

Re: [Vonage] Linksys PAP2 Phone Adapter with Vonage Would also like to know the admin password for the non-NA devices...
Did notice the following:
All IVR commands start with a '1' which is the only phone keypad button that does not have letters associated with it.
The "Manual Reboot" 732668 code spells "REBOOT" on the phone keypad.
Does this help someone???
