[Lingo] Eleven days to get DTA?

Can't wait to dump my telco entirely.. to that end I signed up with three providers, so that I can compare them side by side. I hope to be able to dump the telco altogether and keep the best two of three VOIP's. I will be saving money once the telco gets turfed.

Off to a slow start. The 2-3 day delivery promised by the Lingo rep, turned into a 5-7 day email after I signed up and according to UPS will really be 11 days. Is this par for Lingo? I thought that people were getting their adapters quicker than that? Broadvox and Vontage haven't shipped the orders from last week at all, so unless they are using 2 day service, will be taking even longer than 11 days. Funny how each one charged my credit card immediately but are slow to ship. Any other major company wouldn't charge your card until they were ready to actually ship something. But anytime something small goes wrong, I just think: "It could be worse. I could still be stuck with AT&T". See, I feel better already!

The eleven days is just one day longer than my wait of 10 days.
I got incorrect shipment information via email when it did not actually ship for another several days.
This was frustrating as it made false expectations as to the arrival.

I was billed for the ATA almost immediately as well (before item was even shipped)

Lingo did use 2 day UPS shipping for my ATA.
however delivery date fell on a Saturday so I did not get it until the next Monday afternoon.

actual shipment/delivery time 5 days.
delay time 5 days before shipped.

I dropped my regular phone service after 1 week of using Lingo.

I placed my order August 12th (Thurs), was billed on the 13th (Fri), and received the equipment on the 18th (Wed). All within a week. Not bad.

Still waiting for the LNP before I drop the POTS.

If Broadvox has really shipped, UPS doesn't know about it.
"UPS could not locate the shipment details for the tracking number you entered.
Please make sure the tracking number you entered is valid and try again."

The number may just be an electronic reference number which indicates an upcoming shipment.
For my case Lingo generated such a number days before shipping the item.
It should work for tracking once UPS has received the physical item and scans it into their system.

if you call 1800 PICKUPS they will tell you that the number is indeed valid but they have no information on it at this time. You are then told to contact the shipper. (when you get to the live operator)

The Broadvox adapter shipped about six hours after it showed up on the dashboard. So it's looking like..

         BVOX - 7 days
Lingo - 11 days
Vonage - ? days

UPS delivers on Saturday. Did you have it delivered to your workplace?

the shipper must select this option and pay extra fees on
most shipments.
