Re: Digizip serious problems? You know sometime I wonder what kind of company offends customers, gets into arugments about them, never takes any responsibily for anything and has no communication?
I would think that with the recent feedback, that some one would want to change something over in the Digizip offices. But I guess not? |

See kid, when you're old enough to get a job, I hope you're reading skills improve. Otherwise, you'll always have to use the little icons on the cash register to do your job. You know, the little hamburger icon, and the little milk shake icon...
When you're located 19,000 feet from the CO, modems or IDSL is your option. If I could afford $650/month for a T1, I would, but fortunately, Comcast may have saved the day and provides T1 speed to boot. -- =========== Ed |

Big problem.. I disagree. MCI diconnected my service by accident, Debi Fishman was on it right away and caught it before MCI DL. |

I don't know which post of mine you are referring to, but everything I said about Digizip, and its' rep. here, are true. The customer service response has been, and is, sluggish to non-existent. Debbi Fishman may be the glimmering hope of a turn around in customer service at Digizip, but I wouldn't hold my breath. In any case, they've got some fences to mend.
Glad your problem was solved so quickly, but bear in mind that it was the exception, not the rule. |

Don't mind Ross, he's the head of sales, good cheer and customer relations. He just gets those hats mixed up sometimes. Through Him, I've learned many new words and the correct way to use some I thought I knew... |

 | reply to bfoster2000 said by bfoster2000:And imagine, I came to this forum because I was thinking about getting Digizip DSL. Not Any More!!!! Hold on there, bfoster2000! Digizip is an excellent ISP from the standpoint of connection speed offered through MCI, and their mostly hands-off, non-interference policy re the customers' use of the bandwidth they have purchased. They allow servers, but they don't provide reverse DNS for the static IPs they supply. They do not block ports, and aren't bandwidth throttling/usage ninnies. They manage to filter almost all SPAM without killing your ability to receive e-mail. While the speed isn't state of the art, and is a bit pricey when compared to ILEC DSL, or cable, offerings of late, it is almost trouble free, spam free and price stable. Outage incidents are the exception, rare as hen's teeth, not the "norm". Also, they will not turn you into a marketing target, for their own, or their affiliated companies and advertisers, like most ILECs and CableCos do. Their e-mail service is generally good, but mild slowdowns have been a nuisance.
Their customer service via e-mail, and via this forum, has mostly sucked. But, there is a new honcho in charge of customer relations, Debi Fishman, who may have a positive impact on that departments future performance. Also, if you call their office and speak with someone, they will be both knowledgeable, and responsive. If you leave voicemail, that's an altogether different matter. Fortunately, there are few reasons to call.
So, unless you want a higher speed connection than they offer, they are a fair bargain. |

 | I agree with ross on both DSL service and customer service. I had their DSL service for 18+ months and had only 2 outrage for about a minute or two at 2:00 AM. Dude, it was at 2:00AM for a minute or two and who would be affected much? Also, Debbi Fishman was very helpful. One of the most sincere and helpful person I've ever communicated with. |
