Re: browser jacked can't fix it Snake, If you will not help yourself, how do you expect other people to help you? Follow Calamitys advice and update windows first. She has helped numerous people but you have to do what she tells you. |

 | I downloaded XP Service Pack 2 (266 mbs) on dial up, just to see if it was do-able. It is
Glad you got it fixed, anyway. I hope you find a way to get your system patched, otherwise, you'll have more headaches than the download of the updates.
You can order SP2 on CD which would be a whole lot easier

The CD is also available at some Best Buys an and Comp USAs.
BTW...whatever length of time it takes to download and install would be less than the time spent cleaning your PC.
Based on Crystal Sky's post I'd say SS is due for a reformat/ reinstall anyway.:p

i get the point, the point i don't understand is i go 2 years with no updates, and click on a wrong link once and this happens, not like its an ongoing thing. i browse like 10 sites. -- Why Am I Fighting To Live,If Im Just Living To Fight. Why Am I Trying To See,When There Aint Nothing In Sight. Why Am I Trying To Give, When No One Gives Me A Try.Why Am I Dying To Live, When Im Just Living To Die |

Hmmm... you say once... but now it is twice because you were reinfected after your machine was clean. I'd say proof that it will be ongoing till you follow CJ's advice.:p She rocks and you were lucky to have her help you the first time. Hint. Hint.;) |

Somehow I just don't buy it that your on a 24.6 dial-up connection, especially with XP, IE6, and from looking at your profile, you crunch as well. Microsoft will send you an SP2 CD in 4-5 days. Do it. Please
