this looks like a promising fix - i will try this on my pc. i have had this exact problem too since updating to sp2 and norton wmi. i could not stand that the firewall alert kept poping up on every other reboot... thanks for the info...
if symantec or microsoft ever acknowledge or post a fix for this problem post it here so we can know too - thanks again for your help!
