Re: Why We Do What We Do... Jim, your statement is probably the best summation of how I feel. My most sincere condolences are with you and your family. I think you are dead-on with everything you have to say about how this is a big family and we all need to stay with it and be the solution, and find the cure.
I am new to TD, but I joined it because I have seen a couple of good friends suffer from cancer, as well as my grandfather. It was hard for me when a couple of my friends were just in need of some moral/spiritual support when I was underway because being on a submarine, its hard to get messages back and forth, even with the new ability to do email underway. I don't want my children to ever have to watch people suffer from cancer, unable to do anything to help them.
I didn't know this community of generous souls existed until I came to bbr trying to research my broadband options after I changed duty stations. I was happy to find that such distributed computing efforts were underway. I am putting forth my best efforts to crunch as much as I can. |
