Hassle since word go. But they fixed everything

I don't have a record of exact dates, but I am working on two months since I ordered the service from Cyberstation. The first clue into how well together this organization is came when i faxed back the contract, and then never heard another word from them. A week later I called back and they claimed not to have to received it, nor had they taken the time to call me and let me know they hadn't. They faxed me another contract, which I requested a verification on and received. They called me back to get payment info and gave me a ball park of thirty days (around Sep, 14 2000)before the lines would be tested out. After being told they would contact me when the inside wiring team was coming, I told them that they would have to call another number because the DSL line I used strictly for internet and there was no phone on it. When they called to let me know they were coming, that information had never made it to them. No telling who is at fault with that one, but I ended up suffering their mistakes. I found this out by calling on the 15th to find out why, again they failed to contact me, even though i had gone ahead and hooked up a phone to the internet line. On this call, instead of calling IP communications and trying to get a little urgency on this, they asked me to do it. I couldn't get through to the inside wiring department but a helpful guy from IP told me he would have the message passed on to them. When, predictably, this didn't happen, I called back the next day and was able to talk to inside wiring and scheduled an appointment for Monday the 25th. For the first time in this ordeal, something occurred almost as promised. The ip guys showed up and got the lines set up for internet, and I would add they were very pleasant and helpful. The problem was they didn't have a modem. IP called CS at around 2pm on the 25th and they were told CS would overnight a modem to me that day. Tuesday, I called CS around five when i didn't receive the modem and was told that they had not only sent it 2nd day, they hadn't gotten it out on Monday. Only upon my request to know when I would receive my modem, and the suggestion to go check it out was I told I would get it by Thursday. Well today is Wednesday, and I happened to check my bank and found that they saw fit to deduct the money for the service, without even checking on whether or not I was actually active.

Through this whole ordeal, I never received one apology nor a hint of embarrassment for these inconveniences.

Needless to say, if I do not receive the modem tommorrow, I will be canceling the order and going with another provider. I really hope the incompetence to date is not an indication of the service I am going to receive this next year, assuming they can actually deliver on their promise to get my modem to me tommorrow.

Re: Hassle since word go. But they fixed everythin

I feel bad for not updating this post earlier, as Cyberstation has done everything in its power to rectify the situation I was in. This is actually a follow up to a number of problems I had getting my DSL installed. The last post I was frustrated with the install time. As it turned out, most of the problem was due to IPC and Federal Express. After seeing my post on this site, I received a call from the Chris at CST and he bent over backwards to remedy the problems I was having. I have been up and running for a couple of months now with unwavering connectivity. Additionally, any questions I have had, tech support and billing have resolved them quickly and efficiently. For a nice change, first impressions aren't always the correct ones. Good to find a company that cares about their product and their customer.
