What's the affiliate link for? Must be some reason it's there. If not, might as well link to http: //www.spreadfirefox.com
instead of
http: //www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=4507&t=61

I'd assume so kasia can keep track of the hit counts or something.

Then wouldn't that be http: //www.dslreports.com/redirect?site=www.spreadfirefox.com

Or does she own the other site too?

While I can't speak for her, I'm pretty sure that Kasia Trapszo != Blake Ross. (see WHOIS info for spreadfirefox)

I signed up for an account. I'll see what the affil thing is about.

This is so hilarious... Why are people up in arms about one image, I bet if they put up the image 'best viewed with firefox' you would also be up in arms, but if they did 'best viewed with IE' those people would be rubbing it in the faces of users of alternative browsers.

This is just over-reaction, pure, and simple!

I don't really care.

My only concern is that if Firefox becomes too prevalent, it will become as much of a high-profile target as IE, thus defeating the whole purpose of an alternative browser.

I'm just as happy with "average Joe" not knowing squat about Firefox so it stays secure for us/me.

Then again, it is kind of selfesh...

It's an endorsement by DSLR, not unlike this page. I guess if the `powers that be' decided that they liked IE or Opera that they would put something there.

It's really not worth getting bent out of shape over.

First of all, this isn't a Democracy, nor does it get funding from the government (thus, a private website where they may do as they damn well please). Second of all, the ownership of this website has decided that they prefer firefox and wish to support it...what's the friggin' problem with that?

Some people will bitch about anything

I agree, if your biggest pet-peeve is seeing the words "Firefox, the browser you can trust" in a tiny little graphic, you should really go outside and find something else to complain about.

This reminds me of the arguing when they removed the stars, and changed the way the button works.

Yep, their feelings are hurt when the owner, and operating of one of the websites they visit supports Firefox. They just need to get over it!

When I saw the image, I knew there already had to be a bruhaha in a thread somewhere, and I was just laughing in my search for the thread, especially after I read it.
