Re: [OT] Anyone have SBC satellite TV here?

Question for satellite tv people. Is it possible yet to get both CT and NY local channels? For example, could I get both channel 13 and CPTV (PBS), New York and CT network stations, plus channel 61 Hartford and channel 11 NY?

You need to apply for a waiver(through DirecTV), since you're able to get your locals. it's up to your local channels, i.e. WFSB(CBS), WTNH(ABC), etc... to let you get the NY & LA feeds, not DTV or DishTV. I'll tell you this, you'll get denied ABC & CBS, and more than likely get NBC & Fox. Plus it's around 2.50 per month per channel to get these feeds. I got denied ABC & CBS repeatedly, and got the other 2 on my first request. You cannot circumvent the waiver process. this is all done in accordance with federal legislation. good luck. PM me if you have any questions.

Actually you can, some (like myself) are grandfathered in. I have all east and west coast network feeds for NY and LA, never needed to file any waiver form. I think there is a rule about people who had service before mid 1999. However, it does leave me stuck with Dishnet, if I cancel or lose service, I lose my west coast feeds
