The ISP Wanadoo is well known for being a source of open proxy's to facilitate the spread of junk email. And half of American ISPs are no better. The cable ISPs are filled with zombie machines that fling out spam and viruses like crazy. Or did you miss the study that showed that some absurd percentage of spam originates from American netblocks?
