If you refer to the site you mentioned »www.comcast.com/newguide/ it says the following:

"Your new On-Screen Program Guide, which you will see on your screen between 9/29 and 10/14, is 50% faster and still gives you access to all of the great features of Comcast Digital Cable!"

I would expect it no later than the 14th of October.

I'm on the same system as you, so I know we don't have it yet.

Can't wait til that tan guide is deleted from ALL of my boxes. Hopefully, my city will be one of the firsts. I'm sure they'll have the whole country with it by the 14th. They have two weeks, plenty of time.

You think all areas will have it by the 14th of October. Kcharge had said for the Dallas area it could could be 30 to 45 days from September 18th. Wouldn't they have done a press release for all the areas if they were to release a product so soon and wouldn't they have sent out letters about it by now.

If it's good enough for one area I'm sure it is for the rest. They've been testing this guide for a while, I'm sure if it's released to the public (»i-Guide.tv) it's good enough for Comcast.

Just like with On Demand, Comcast doesn't advertise it at ALL until it's available throughout the entire city. Comcast will probably advertise the new guide once once everyone has it... (?)

Well New Jersey did their press release a month before about i-guide and information in the cable bill which I just got with nothing in it about it, that's why I'm saying it seems weird for other areas to deploy without a press release or some kind of letter with the cable bill. When I talked to a customer service rep the other day they still didn't know anything about it and when I emailed a comcast customer support they said by early next year. I wonder where he found that demo. I can't even find that when I typed it in on google search or when I checked the tv guide website.

From the Comcast demo and what I have in my new Comcast DVR I'd say the DVR already has it.
Some slight cosmetic differences but 99% of it's there.

Comcast is notorious for not informing their staff on what they intend to do. I have a contact (high up) in the Union, NJ office. He doesn't get told about STB's, Firmware, Guides, and pretty much anything to do with what is in the home until the are just about deploying it.

It is even worse for the CSR. Sometimes (most time) we know things before they do.

Maybe one day Comcast will get their act together. But as of now, with their all the acquisitions they are just trying to get all of their areas up to speed. We have had VOD now for what, 4 years (more). Some places are still hoping to get that.

i-Guide is COMPLETELY different from the blue guide.

Besides the colors?
Name ONE Killer addition ??

I'm just saying, ALL the software will be deleted on all boxes and the new guide will be download. It's different in many ways. For one, there's no ads except one on the guide. It handles VOD better. There's a new mini guide. There's 90 minutes of programming shown. The guide is supposedly a little faster on the DCT 2000s. It handles DVR 99 times better than the blue guide. It has a timeline, season pass features, etc.
