Speakeasy → wdc pop + latency

I recently became aware that the latency for my first hop is 15ms higher than normal. Is anyone else experiencing increased latency on the wdc pop or is it just me?

I am experiencing the same problem. I opened a trouble ticket and reported the problem but they tested teh line and told me that everything seemed fine. Have you gotten any feedback from Speakeasy?

felesaerius - he said 15ms higher. So say 30-35ms to your first hop. This is how Detroit was for a while. It took them working with their telco provider to fix the problem here.

Maybe your line degraded and you got switched to safe mode.

Yikes, I'm seeing, on average, more than 40msec traces through the WDC pop. Ick.

I just checked my pings today and they are back to normal again.

My service is back to normal also!

im on covad pops, and i had problems to wdc, nyc, chicago, and atlanta, but it went back to normal the other day. sometimes they go to crap, it happens every few months, get used to it
