| Only works when I am on the phone I am new to dsl and I have only had my service up for a day so this may not seem like a unique problem to you guys but here goes--I can only stay "connected" while surfing when I am currently on the phone.
I noticed the problem last night while surfing the web. After a few minutes of surfing, everything would stop. Since, I was new to dsl, I immediately picked up the phone to call tech support. Well, after waiting a few minutes or so (wait time for support approx. 15 min.) I would notice that my "connection" had returned. So, I hang up and "no connection". It took 6 tries before I realized that while on the phone I could "connect" and while off the phone everything was "dead".
Anyone ever here of this? GTE is sending someone out but not for a couple of days. |
