This should actually be built into the OS, there are way way to many idiot's out there that need that protection by default. Just have it so us advanced users have the option to turn the service off if we want to use our own spyware program.

Exactly! Anyone who says otherwise, needs a reality-check.
It is the idiot running as administrator that needs the reality check. Try installing spyware as a user. Not a super user but a regular user. Yeah you can't. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!"

um there is alot of nonspyware windows software that won't run under other accounts. For alot of people it isn't possible to run this way.

but people do every day under linux ? and can't do that work also? So is it really that weird of a reason why linux is impervious to this point to spyware ? -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!"
