Campus Broadband Chat → Call of duty at Georgia Southern

Hello,
Currently I am a freshman at Georgia Southern University and an avid computer gamer. i play games such as call of duty and counterstrike. when i moved into my dorm my ping in these games were fine and i had no problems. a few weeks ago however, i recieved an email from the university stating that they were throttling the bandwidth because of p2p programs and viruses on the network. ever since then my ping online has become so bad that it is unplayable. i have emailed them about the situation and have talked to some of the IT assistants and they say the network is running fine. i have used programs like http tunnel and hopster but they just make it lag still...any ideas or solutions? any advice or help will be much appreciated. thanks

perhaps you can run a intranet cod or cs server if theres other players. or, you could get an outside internet connection in somehow. otherwise your out of options
