Re: [XP Pro] Right Click on a File = Explorer crash I had this problem with the very latest version of Zone Alarm Security Suite. Used the cool little tool referenced a couple posts earlier to disable the zone labs virus scan, and now it's back to normal.

| mine did the same thing I found out that it was mcafee webscan. I went to my task manager and ended the webscan.exe process and it fixed it. I then went into my mcafee properties and disabled download scanning. Problem solved for me |

I used ShellExView and it turned out that Adaptec DirectCD Shell Extension was the problem maker in my case.
