Bad ISP partnership getting wholesale DSL

L A Bridge is actually a competitor of Power.net but we often work with other local ISPs in Los Angeles to share bandwidth, etc. In October of 2000 we were growing a little to fast and we decided to buy additional bandwidth and wholesale DSL from power.net. Over the unfortunate 9-month experience, we were subjected to random unannounced changes in their network which often brought down our customers services. We finally quit using power.net after we lost a $35,000/yr customer due to a series of filtering mistakes made in power.net's routers. In general we were unhappy with Power.net because:

* unannounced routing changes
* capping our bandwidth at 6Mbit when we thought we could burst to 100Mbit
* failure to turn over customer info for the DSL accounts we were going to buy
* charging us full price for the month of October before our ethernet cable was installed
* reachable only by e-mail, never by phone
* failure to communicate changes to our service that effects our customers
* blocking our customers ports in the firewall
* changing passwords in our equipment
*attempting to block us from making changes to our customers accounts with Verizon
* attempting to keep equipment co-located on the power.net network even when all of our bills were paid in full.

We are very sorry this did not work out. We wish Power.net the best of luck.
