Re: DSM-320 Reception Well, removing the silicone (gummy stuff) was not difficult. you just have to jiggle the wire a bit. as far as i could see it's there as an isolator not as glue. so after jiggling it some it comes right off like a cap. the wire connecting the antenna is actually jacked, what i mean by jacked is that it's not just lying there on the connector but rather it has a kind of slot it slides into. bottom line don't worry about it getting freed from the jack. just unplug it from main and replug into aux. it's a perfect fit! p.s the pictures you sent are right on the money - those are the correct jacks. enjoy |

 | Thanks for the tip Guys. My DSM was getting lowsy reception - typically only 20%. Tested it right under the Wireless Access Point and it still only got up to 80%. I made the change from Main Areial to Aux and it shot up to 100% while near the WAP and 80 - 100% in the other room. ;o) Still doesn't play well but that'll be fixed in version 1.05 - I hope. |
